• <br />Park Board Meeting — April 5, 2010 <br />Minutes <br />Rick welcomed newly appointed Park Board member Byron Roland and re- appointed <br />members Pat Huelman and Richard Jensen. <br />Mayor Reinert swore in members Roland, Huelman and Jensen. <br />The April 5, 2010 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was called to order at 6:30p.m. <br />by Chair Lindy. <br />Roll call was taken; members present were Charles Evans, Byron Roland, Matt Koehn, <br />Richard Jensen, Bill Kusterman, George Lindy and Pat Huelman. <br />Also present were Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director and Sandie Wood, Public <br />Services Office Manager. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM NOVEMBER 1, 2009: <br />Pat Huelman made a motion to approve the November 1, 2009 minutes. Bill Kusterman <br />seconded the motion and the minutes were approved as written. <br />SETTING AGENDA: <br />There were no changes to the agenda. <br />OPEN MIKE: <br />There was no one present for open mike. <br />REVIEW RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick reviewed the update included in the member's packets. He talked about Snow <br />Day, Sweetheart Dance, Fitness Classes and School's Out Camps. <br />He said registration is currently going on and it looks like we are off to another <br />successful season of programming for the residents of Lino Lakes. <br />He told members that upcoming events include Kids Garage Sale and Kite Day. Also <br />this summer there is going to be a new event called Puppet Shows in the Park. There <br />will be four different show dates at local parks, including a free puppet show with <br />refreshments and crafts for kids. <br />Rick mentioned that there are 29 teams in the Summer Men's and Co -Rec Softball <br />Leagues and 6 teams in the Co -Rec Indoor Soccer League. <br />REVIEW PARK DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick talked about wood duck boxes, rink maintenance, equipment maintenance, cutting <br />and pruning of trees and staff helping the Street Department snowplow. <br />He asked members to look over the Park Update and contact him if they had any <br />questions. <br />A member asked if the Boy Scout project had been completed in Arena Acres Park. <br />Ricks said the project has been completed and the City has signed off on the project. <br />
