Pecchia, Public Safety <br />Director /Chief of Police <br />DATE: January 13, 2003 <br />TOPIC: <br />Consideration of Resolution # 03 - Accepting grant monies from <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Snowmobile Safety <br />Enforcement Grant. <br />VOTES REQUIRED: 3/5 vote <br />(BACKGROUND I' <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department has been selected to <br />receive grant funds in the amount of $1,500.00 designated <br />for overtime projects and /or equipment supporting <br />enforcement of snowmobile rules and regulations. We are <br />asking the City Council to accept this grant on behalf of <br />the City of Lino Lakes and the Lino Lakes Police Department. <br />'OPTIONS II <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 03 - accepting the grant funds to <br />purchase the needed snowmobile equipment and /or <br />overtime salaries for snowmobile enforcement. <br />2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information. <br />(RECOMMENDATION II <br />Option No. 1 <br />
