Approval of a CUP to allow expansion of the concrete plant. This referred to additional <br />structures on the southern portion of the site. <br />2. Amending the zoning ordinance to include outdoor storage as an interim use in the LI zoning <br />district <br />3. Approval of an interim use permit to allow outdoor storage on Molin's northern 20 acres. <br />4. Vacating the portion of 77th Street that separated the two areas. <br />Another building addition was approved in 1999. <br />Staff stated the City had received complaints from residents near the Molin site, especially from <br />the Sherwood Green area to the north. The primary concern has been <br />both noise from back -up beepers on equipment and the noise of the <br />complaints had included concerns about landscaping and dust. The height maximum in the GI zone was 45'. <br />With respect to lighting, staff explained when an earlier building was constructed, the exterior <br />lighting caused some concerns among nearby residents. It was unlikely that the exterior lighting <br />would exceed the City's Ordinance restrictions. However, it had been the City's practice to <br />require photometric plans for new commercial/industrial buildings. <br />Staff stated the City allowed a maximum of 0.4 foot candles at the residential property lines and <br />1.0 foot candles at the centerline of a street. No photometric plans were submitted. <br />With respect to landscaping, no landscaping around the new building is planned. The section of <br />this report on the conditional use permit discusses landscaping for the larger site. <br />
