• <br />• <br />• <br />Planning & Zoning Board <br />February 10, 1999 <br />Page 10 <br />Acting Chair Johnson expressed concern regarding a liquor license being issued at Elm <br />Street and Lake Drive. <br />Mr. Trehus stated a separation is appropriate for older students. Preschoolers should not <br />be a problem. <br />Mr. Dunn suggested the City conduct tests to see which liquor stores are serving minors. <br />He asked about wine/beer only licenses. Mr. Smyser stated the City does have a separate <br />license for wine/beer only. That license does not count against the limited number of <br />liquor licenses allowed in the City. <br />Mr. Trehus expressed concern regarding item #9. He stated the residents of Lino Lakes <br />did not move to the City for nightclubs. Mr. Smyser stated that currently there is no <br />minimum distance required between establishments. The liquor code and zoning regulate <br />some things. The market will determine how many licenses would survive in one area in <br />the City. <br />E. Minutes Format <br />Ms. Wyland distributed copies of a memo fro .: A'`nistrator regarding the new <br />minute format. <br />Board Members expressed conc ' g the new format. The <br />issue will be revisite e' at the March, 1999, meeting. <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT <br />Mr. Trehus made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 p.m., and was supported by <br />Mr. Dunn.
