He expressed concern regarding the use of that site. <br />He added that using a pole barn is not the best situation. He stated he may support the <br />plan if there was a well laid out landscaping plan and a fence is installed. He asked about <br />the location of the ditch. Mr. Powell pointed out the location of the ditch stating it is <br />along the rear of the property. The pond will be maintained by the property owner. The <br />City will have an easement over it and can step in if it is not properly maintained. <br />Mr. Corson made a MOTION to close the public hearing at 7:14 p.m., and was supported <br />by Mr. Dunn. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Mr. Dunn stated the City needs to be aware of the Comprehensive Plan. The plan for the <br />Legion is consistent with the land use indicated in the Comprehensive Plan. He stated he <br />would prefer to see a living wall of spruce trees. He also stated a stipulation should be <br />made that a building permit is not granted until all conditions are met. He asked about <br />any noise abatement within the facility itself. He suggested t i ibility of containing <br />the noise in the building. The issuance of a liquor license 1 �� tot , City Council. She stated she sees the Legion as more neighborhood friendly than different <br />businesses that could be allowed. She stated she appreciates that the Legion is willing to <br />pay their taxes.
