PLANNING ITEMS: <br />A. 95 -20 -P, Maq -Con Inc., XXX Apollo Drive, Minor <br />Subdivision. <br />Planning Coordinator Wyland briefly reviewed the request <br />for a minor subdivision. <br />Ms. Wyland indicated no park dedication will be required <br />as it was collected when the Lino Industrial Park was <br />platted. <br />Ms. Wyland noted there will be a site plan review for <br />Mag -Con following this minor subdivision request. <br />Ms. Wyland indicated staff would recommend approval of <br />the minor subdivision as proposed. <br />Ms. Mary LaForest, Economic Development Assistant, <br />introduced the applicants Dick and Joyce Butler and <br />architect Mike Schraad. <br />Chair Pro -Tem Robinson inquired as to what type of <br />business this will be. Mr. Butler indicated his business <br />is engaged in design and building of transformers. <br />Mr. Butler indicated his business currently is in a <br />building of 12,000 square feet and they are in desperate <br />need of additional space. <br />Mr. Butler indicated he has an excellent management staff <br />with. 10 years minimum experience with the company. <br />Mr. Butler indicated he had worked with Mr. Brian Wessel, <br />Economic Development Director for the City, and was very <br />impressed with the cooperation the City has given them <br />during the application process. <br />Mr. Butler believed his business would compliment the <br />Industrial Park. He noted his business would staff 40 <br />employees. He indicated through a survey, he realized a <br />majority of the staff live in the Lino Lakes area. <br />Ed Schones made a MOTION to approve application 95 -20 -P, <br />Mag -Con Inc., XXX Apollo Drive, Minor Subdivision and was <br />supported by Guy Herr. All voted aye. Motion carried. <br />B. 95 -21 -S, Mag -Con Inc., XXX Apollo Drive, Site Plan <br />Review. <br />Planning Coordinator Wyland briefly reviewed the request <br />for site plan review for a 15,000 square foot production <br />and office building to be located in the Apollo Business <br />Park, with a 5,000 square foot expansion area. <br />3 <br />
