He stated that this particular project
is important because it will be the first business going into
the City's Industrial Park and added that we are on a fast
track regarding development of this site as the applicant
would like to move in before the first of the year. EDAAB has
recommended approval of the request and is working with the
applicant on the details of development.
Mr. Fischer was present and indicated that his company is a
tool and die business that does metal stamping, manufacturing
and assembly, medical assembly and circuitry.
Some questions raised by the Planning Board involved signage,
hazardous waste, sprinkler system, truck delivery and trash
handling. Mr. Fischer responded that they do not deal with
toxic wastes, trash would be in an enclosed and screened
vicinity and the sign would be a small identification sign
approximately 3 1/2 ' x 6'. A sprinkler system would not be
required at this time and truck delivery may involve one semi
per week delivering steel.
Tom Mesich then made a motion recommending approval of the
minor subdivision request and was supported by Al Robinson.
All voted aye. Motion carried to approve minor subdivision
with recommendations outlined in staff report dated October
12, 1993.
Rick Gelbmann then made a motion recommending approval of the
site plan review with the conditions outlined in the staff
report dated October 12, 1993 and the additional condition
that the property be screened from adjoining properties. He
was supported by Al Robinson. All voted aye. Motion carried.
V. ACTION ITEMS:
A. Clyde Rehbein Development - between Ware Road and Hwy 49
just south of Rehbein Bus Garage.
Clyde Rehbein was present and stated that this is a concept
look at a plat of approximately 55 lots. They are currently
in the process of having the wetland delineation and a
preliminary site review by RCWD revealed three possible
wetland areas on the proposed plat. Mr. Rehbein stated that
they would like to construct a 12 -14' berm between the Bus
Garage (GB) property and the proposed plat, or possibly
fencing the area to discourage children from playing in the
bus area.
3
