Mr. Menkveld reviewed several issues that had been resolved
since he last appeared before this Board. The DNR has established
the high water mark on Marshan Lake, and the development has
received approval from RCWD and he has submitted a landscaping plan
showing a two rows of transplanted evergreen trees shielding houses
from the Church property and Lake Drive. Mr. Menkveld stated that
houses next to each other or houses across the street from each
other will not have a like building exterior. The model on Stage
Coach Lane and Lake Drive will have a high pitched roof with a
masonry front.
John Bergeson asked Mr. Menkveld if he intended to transplant all
of the trees that are on the property. Mr. Menkveld said the trees
are growing close together and he is not sure of the number that
would survive transplanting. Mr. Bergeson said if there was a
sufficient number of trees, possibly some of them could be placed
along Lot 15 and 16 shielding those lots from the park, with the
remainder used in the park. Mr. Menkveld said he would work with
the Park Board and utilize all of the trees that are now on the
property.
2
