•
•
PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING
June 14, 1989
application, and the plans written up by the surveyor. Mr.
Dupre owns a 4 -plex on Main Street. He wishes to subdivide
parcel 1 and add a 12 foot section onto parcel 2. This will
give the applicant adequate space to build a garage for the
residents of the 4 -plex.
Building Official, Pete Kluegel measured the site and assured
the board that all city codes are met.
There is a house on parcel #1. With the 12' of land removed
from this parcel the front footage would still be 190' which
is an adequate amount.
MOTION: Mr. King moved to recommend approval of a Minor
Subdivision, Application #89 -25 allowing for the expansion of
12' onto the property line on parcel 1, based on the
verification by the Building Official that all setbacks are
met. The 12' addition (parcel 3) should be attached to
parcel 2 to be part of one legal description. Al Robinson
seconded the motion, and the motion was approved unanimously.
DISCUSSION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE METROPOLITAN URBAN SERVICES
AREA BOUNDARY. (COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT). ORAL REPORT
BY RON STAHLBERG.
John Miller, Ron Stahlberg, and Laura Elken held several
informational meetings with residents in Lino Lakes, and
Laura Elken sent each resident a questionnaire after the
meeting asking them if they would like city sewer or not.
Ron Stahlberg was sent copies of the response from the
residents and as a result put together a map depicting areas
where people were or were not interested in sewer and water.
John Miller and Ron Stahlberg delivered this map and their
comments to the Metro Council. The map shows areas in which
will be eliminated from the MUSA boundary, along with areas
that will be added to the MUSA boundary. One example is that
Elmer Crohn's property will be added to the MUSA boundary
area.
Mr. Stahlberg stated that the Metro Council is willing to
work with the city on this issue. The residents in the city
that do not want utilities are happy to be out of the MUSA
and the same goes for residents that do want to be included.
REQUEST FOR MEETING WITH CITY COUNCIL REGARDING CITY
DEVELOPMENT POLICY
Harold Bisel stated that he would like to bring the Planning
and Zoning Board and City Council together to exchange ideas.
Staff will pick a date for this meeting and send a memo out
to the boards.
