PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING <br />June 14, 1989 <br />5. Addition of the following specimen plantings to the <br />front yard: 4 American Linden 2 1/2" dbh, 4 honey <br />locust 2 1/2 dbh, 3 radiant crab 1 3/4" dbh. (One <br />tree per 4000 square feet). <br />6. Addition of 34 Austrian Pine or Black Hills Spruce <br />5 foot b and b to be planted adjacent to the <br />driveway (6 feet d.c.). <br />7. Continuation of the curb to and from the parking <br />lot along the driveway to the street right -of -way. <br />8. Written indication of exterior wall and roof color. <br />9. Addition of 54 common purple lilacs along south and <br />west borders of the parking lot (3 feet a.c.) <br />Ron Stahlberg stated that a drainage plan going to the east <br />will need to be included, and a permit from the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District is needed along with a detention pond for <br />the area. <br />A culvert is needed under the driveway. A permit from MNDOT <br />as to the size of the culvert is required. <br />The board felt that the applicant has met all required codes, <br />and doesn't feel that the board can require the building <br />moved closer to the road. The applicant wants to have that <br />space for further expansion of the church, and the board is <br />adhering to the applicants wishes. <br />MOTION: Mr. Chase moved to recommend to City Council <br />approval of the Site and Building Plan Review for Gethsemane <br />Methodist Church, Application #89 -27 contingent upon plan <br />amendments as recorded in John Millers letter to the board <br />with acception of #3. Approval is contingent upon Mr. <br />Stahlberg's recommendations as listed below: <br />1. Drainage Plan and Permit from Rice Creek Watershed <br />District. <br />2. The applicant make provisions for Sewer and Water. <br />3. Approval from MN DOT on culvert size for the <br />driveway. <br />Mr. King seconded the motion, and the motion was approved <br />unanimously. <br />REQUEST FROM JAMES A.
