PLANNING & ZONING MEETING <br />October 11, 1989 <br />111 The board is in the process of amending the Zoning ordinance. <br />The boardmembers would like more time to review the <br />ordinances, and get back to John Miller with their proposed <br />changes. <br />It was decided that all changes should be submitted to John <br />Miller by November 1st. At that time a Saturday work session <br />will be scheduled to discuss the proposed amendments. <br />AMENDMENTS TO PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE. <br />The Lino Lakes Park board is planning on amending the park <br />dedication ordinance. The proposed amendment will deal with <br />commercial and industrial zoned sites. The park board will <br />be requiring the applicant to plat their land in order to <br />collect park dedication fees. <br />Mr. Irwin didn't like the idea of requiring the applicant to <br />plat the land. <br />MOTION: Sally Kuether moved that the P &Z board is in favor <br />of an amendment to the park dedication ordinance. Mr. King <br />seconded the motion and the motion was approved with a three <br />to one vote. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />The board discussed accessory building amendments. Irwin <br />feels this is an outdated ordinance. <br />Pete Kluegel, Building Official, will be asked to enlighten <br />the board on this issue. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />MOTION: Alan Irwin moved that the Planning and Zoning board <br />wishes to alert the City Council that drainage has become a <br />problem on the north side of Main Street to the Elmer Crohn <br />property. Ditch cleaning should be completed. The City <br />Engineer would like authorization from the City Council to <br />proceed in ditch cleaning of this area. Mr. King seconded <br />the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. <br />Corner Lots <br />John Miller asked the P &Z's opinion on how the board would <br />like to subdivide corner lots. It could be divided into two <br />long rectangular lots, or three lots. The board decided that <br />they would rather see three lots (two lots 105' wide and one <br />lot 90' wide). <br />There are parcels that will be presented to the P &Z board in <br />the near future with this option to face and Mr. Miller just <br />Page 9 <br />
