• <br />• <br />Page -5- Planning and Zoning <br />Averbeck seconded the motion and the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />PLANNING DISCUSSION OF TEMPORARY TRUCK PARKING ORDINANCE <br />CHANGES: <br />Section 8 of the city's zoning ordiannce provides <br />regulations for parking of cars and trucks in the city's <br />several zoning distracts. Subdivision 5 of that section <br />states: <br />"Motor vehicle parking in residential areas. No motor <br />vehicle exceeding a gross weight of 11,075 pounds shall <br />be parked or stored in a residential district except <br />when loading, unloading, or rendering a service." <br />MOTION: "Irwin moved to recommend to the City Council that <br />it amend the truck parking ordinance that would allow truck <br />parking in residential zones by permit provided the <br />following requirements are met." <br />A. The unit shall not be parked for more than 72 <br />hours. <br />B. The unit shall be parked behind the front of the <br />dwelling. <br />D. There is a minimum of 150 feet from the unit to <br />the nearest lot line. <br />E. The unit shall remain connected. <br />G. Parking permits to be reviewed and renewed on an <br />annual basis by the City Staff. <br />DELETE: <br />C. The unit shall not interfere with neighbors' views <br />of the street. <br />F. Neighbors from each side, in front, and in back do <br />not object to the unit being parked. <br />Prokop seconded the motion <br />DISCUSSION: Joyer made an amendment to recommend the <br />City Planner - John Miller prepare a draft ordinance for <br />the next meeting based on the editorial change. <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br />REGENCY HOMES REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FOR LAND AT 6885 BLACK <br />DUCK DRIVE, APPLICATION 8 -6 <br />
