•
•
PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD September 14, 1988
Mr.Irwin stated that if the land were platted for R -1 uses
that it would yeild about 250 lots. However, going from 2
1/2 acre lots to small lots and with this configuration only
150 lots are shown. Mr. Irwin thought this was a waste of
land. It was suggested by boardmember Irwin that a
different approach of platting be considered. He
recommended platting small lots, but allowing construction
in only a few of them in order to meet the SR -X density.
Mr.Stahlberg was also concerned about the high water table
in the area. He stated a mound system for septic tanks
would be needed. He also felt the pipeline provided a
serious design problem. Mr. Stahlberg suggested replatting
be considered.
Mr. Joyer asked about soil borings.
The board took no action on this discussion item.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mr.Irwin raised the accessory building issue and
considerable discussion followed. At issue was the
relationship between zoning district and building size.
Chairperson Cody asked the City Council to return the item
to the board for further review.
ADJOURNMENT: At 10:02 P.M. Ms. Averback moved the meeting
adjourn. Ms. Nelson seconded and the motion passed
unaminously.
