50 PLANNING AND ZONING-BOARD December 11, 1985 Chairman McLean called to order the regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board at 7:07 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 1985. Members present: Goldade, Klaus, Prokop, Doocy, Cody. Members absent: Ostlie. Also present were Mr. Zack Johnson, City Planner and his associate Mr. Wuornos; Mr. Kluegel,Building Official; Mrs. Foster, Secretary. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 13, 1985 Mr. Prokop moved to approve the minutes of the 11/13/85 P 8 Z meet- ing as presented. Motion seconded by Mr. Cody and carried unani- mously. OPEN MIKE - Mr. Montgomery Mr. Montgomery appeared before the Board for direction as to what they would expect from him. He has bought the El Rehbein warehouse building on Lake Drive, just north of A -Well Drilling. The Board informed Mr. Montgomery that he should submit a site and building plan to the Board for consideration and be specific as to screening around the area where his trucks and other machinery will be stored, the areas which will be paved for the driveway and office parking (per ordinance). Mr. Kluegel can assist him and inform him as to the requirements of the ordinance. OPEN MIKE - Forjays, Mr. Zelinka Mr. Ernie Zelinka appeared before the Board asking for guidance as to which direction he should follow in order to convert 15 of his 20 greenhouses at Forjays to mini storage buildings over the next few years. Presently his property is zoned R -3. A mini - storage facility is not a permitted use in this zone, therefore, a rezone or ordinance amendment would be necessary in order for Forjays to pursue this endeavor. Mr. McLean suggested that Mr. Zelinka look into a PUD (planned unit development) district and gather further information from Mr. Johnson, the City Planner. BUILDING OFFICIAL'S REPORT Mr. Kluegel reported to the Board the following actions by the City Council at their 11/25/85 meeting: - Ordinance 09 -85 dealing with the subdivision of land went through its second reading and was adopted. - Approval was granted to Jim Spetzman for a conditional use permit (this item was discussed at the 11/13/85 P 8 Z meeting). Approval was granted to Lino Ventures for their site and building plan (this item was discussed at the 11/13/85 P 6 Z meeting).
