• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />Ordinance No. 05 - 86 <br />PLANNING £ ZONING BOARD <br />February 11, 1987 <br />Page Five <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE, APPENDIX B, ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br />THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, BY AMENDING SUBDIVISION 4, SECTION (4) DESIGN <br />STANDARDS, ITEM (G) BUILDING DESIGN. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />does ordain: <br />I. <br />Ordinance No. 2 of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />passed by the City Council on May 24, 1983 is hereby amended by del- <br />eting the current language in Subd. 4, Section (4) (G) (i) (ii) and <br />adding the following language: <br />• <br />(G) Building Design. <br />1. It is not the intent of the City to restrict design freedom <br />when reviewing project architecture in connection with a site <br />and building plan. However, it is in the best interest of <br />the City to promote high standards of architectural design <br />and compatibility with surrounding structures and neighbor- <br />hoods. Architectural plans should be prepared by an arch- <br />itect or other qualified person acceptable to the Building <br />Official and shall show the following: <br />(1) elevations of all sides of the building; <br />(2) type and color of exterior building materials; <br />(3) a typical floor plan; <br />(4) dimensions of all structures; and <br />(5) the location of trash containers and of heating, vent- <br />ilation and air conditioning equipment. <br />(i) All buildings erected on lands within the Comm- <br />ercial and Industrial Zoning Districts shall be <br />of steel, reinforced concrete, Type III construct- <br />ion, masonary construction or an equivalent or <br />better. No huildinh shall have pole harm <br />type construction or exterior wall surface of <br />sheet metal. Exterior wall surfaces of all build- <br />ings shall be face brick, decorative block stone, <br />architectural concrete cast in place or pre -cast <br />panel or an equivalent or better. (A back wall <br />may be ordinary common block.) <br />- (ii) All rooftop or ground mounted mechanical equipment <br />and exterior trash storage areas shall be enclosed <br />with material compatible with the principle struct- <br />ure. <br />(iii) All accessory buildings except those not visible <br />from any exterior property line shall have exter- <br />ior wall surfaces of the same material as the <br />principle structure. <br />
