• <br />• <br />• <br />PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD <br />DECEMBER 9, 1987 <br />Vice Chairman Arlene Averbeck called to order the regular <br />meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board at 7:00 <br />p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 1987. Board members present: <br />McLean, Joyer, Irwin, and Nelson. Board members absent: <br />Chairman Cody and Prokop. Also present were: John <br />Miller -City Planner, Pete Kluegel - Building Official, and <br />Connie Husby-- Secretary. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Irwin noted that the second page of the November minutes <br />be corrected as follows: the first and second paragraph <br />should be 12 X 188 instead of 12 X 238 regarding the Apitz <br />property. Mr. McLean moved to second the motion to accept <br />the minutes as corrected. The motion was carried <br />unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE: <br />Clarence Scharpen's property borders Gottwald's property. <br />Mr. Scharpen owns 40 acres north of the Lino Lakes Elementry <br />School. (This property of his is land locked) Gottwalds <br />property is RX2 for development. Clarence is seeking access <br />to a road when Gottwald's property is sold and divided into <br />lots and blocks. <br />Ms. Averbeck replied that Clarence would have to wait until <br />the developer plans the road. The Board told Mr. Scharpen <br />that he would be notified when Mrs. Gottwald decides to <br />sell. <br />Mr. Prokop joined the meeting at 7:10 p.m. <br />STEVE KAISER: No Show <br />ED VAUGHAN - CONSIDERATION OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />REQUEST FROM ED VAUGHAN TO OPERATE A HUNTING PRESERVE AT <br />1403 BIRCH STREET, APPLICATION #87-28. <br />Ed Vaughan owns 307 acres of land north of Birch Street in <br />the south central part of the city. The land is held as an <br />investment by Mr. Vaughan and he hopes to eventually <br />subdivide it for residential purposes. He has stated, "As <br />soon as sewer is available the hunting preserve is done." <br />Discussed were: * Loudness of shots -- too early in the <br />morning. <br />* Too close to R1 district! <br />
