Present: Goldade, Klaus, Ostlie, Prokop. Absent:
Doocy, Cody. Mr. Kluegel and Mrs. Foster were also present.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - October 10, 1984
85
Mrs. Klaus stated that note should be made for the record with regard
to the issue of approval of the amended conditional use permit request
for the House of Praise, which was discussed at the October 10 meeting
after having been approved by the City Council; that the P &,Z Board
does not care to handle items in the manner in which this item was
handled, The P & Z Board had been hurried into consideration of the
request, and the City Council considered the request without the
full participation and recommendation from the P & Z Board.
Mr. Prokop moved to approve the October 10 minutes as presented with
the note made by Mrs. Klaus. Seconded by Mr. Ostlie. Carried.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - November 14, 1984
Mrs. Klaus moved to approve the. November 14 minutes as presented. Mr.
Goldade seconded motion. Carried with Mr. Ostlie abstaining.
BUILDING OFFICIAL'S REPORT
Mr. Kluegel reported the following items to the Board:
- The November 26 Council approved the metes and bounds conveyance
request by Mr. Morehouse, following the recommendations by the P
& Z Board.
- With regard to the issue of Centerville rezoning Larry Brokke's
land, which was discussed under New Business at the November 14
P & Z meeting, Mr. Kluegel had sent copies of our Ordinance with
regard to buffers in light industrial areas to the Centerville
Clerk.- Centerville has approved the rezone. Mr. Brokke's concern
about noise has been satisfied by the fact that business conducted
near his home will be handle indoors. His concern about buffer
was satisfied in that should trees be removed, a fence would have
to be constructed as a buffer.
- The Council will be interviewing planning consultants at their
January 14 meeting. After a candidate has been hired, the Mayor
has requested that the Council and P & Z Board have a joint break-
fast meeting with the consultant.
Mr. McLean was puzzled that the Council wishes to interview after
• the P & Z Board did interview and presented a recommendation. He
felt that the P & Z Board had spent considerable time and effort
in the interviewing process.
ACCESSORY BUILDINGS
This item was listed on the agenda at this time, however, Mr. McLean
suggested moving it to the end of the agenda because it would take
quite a bit of time. Board agreed.
