Mr. Kluegel will keep the Board up to date
regarding this issue.
Mrs. Klaus noted that there is a double wide trailer parked at the
House of Praise. Mr. Kluegel said that a church member has it
parked there and that it will be going on a foundation on Pine Street.
Mrs. Klaus also felt that since no construction has yet begun at
the House of Praise and their request to add on, which came before
the P & Z in October, was a rather hurried situation, she felt the
Board was unnecessarily hurried to take action.
Another concern was brought up by Mr. Prokop with regard to streets
not being paved in certain developments before the lots are developed.
Several instances -- Sherwood Green, West Oaks of Bald Eagle and in
the past Shenandoah III -- were used as examples of situations where
people are living in homes wherethestreets were not paved. Mr.
Prokop felt that the larger builders seem to get away with this
more often than the small developer and possibly the City was oper-
ating with a dual standard.
Mr. Goldade reported that he watched some of the construction of a
street in the Menkveld addition, and he questioned whether there
was any base laved down before the pavement. Mr. Kluegel stated
that it is the engineer's job to approve streets and that he would
bring this situation to the engineers attention and have it checked.
During the tour of the area, it was noted that there is quite a bit
of scrap material at Kloesner /Goertz. Mr. Kluegel said that he was
working on this situation.
It was brought to the attention of the Building Inspector that there
appears to be a "sales office" trailer at West Oaks. Mr. Kluegel
said he would check this out.
Mr. Kluegel updated the Board with respect to the Roland Ford court
case, in which Mr. Ford was told to clean up his property to the
satisfaction of the City before December 3 or face a 30 -day jail
sentence. To date, little has been done in this clean up effort.
The meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
