0 r. Karth asked if the Ordinance stays with strip zoning along Lake Drive from 35W north
to Pine Street, what do the homeowners want, commercial or residential? There were only
four homeowners present.
February 15, 1983
Task Force
Page -4-
Ken Skoglund - 7481 Lake Drive - Asked what Columbus Township is doing with Lake Drive
north of Lino Lakes? It was not known. He felt if Columbus has designated the area as
commercial, Lino Lakes should look more at this too.
Mr. Karth said the City may have to go back to the Metropolitan Council and ask for a
revision of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
A five minute recess was called at 9 :30 p.m.
John Hambrock - 900 James Street - Asked Mr. Short to explain the Expansion Residential
District. Mr. Short did and said he expected there would be sewer in this area by 1990.
Mrs. Morehouse asked if there was any chance that her property could be subdivided into
one acre lots. Mr. Karth said that would require the City to go back to Metropolitan
Council and have the Comprehensive Land Use Plan revised. This will be difficult.
Mr. Johnson explained that the zoning ordinance and zoning map will probably be considered
at the March 9, 1983 Planning and Zoning meeting and will be sent to the Council on March
28, 1983. The Council will then set the public hearings for probably April.
She meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
•
