• <br />• <br />Planning and Zoning Board <br />October 12, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was <br />called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Prokop with the following <br />members present; McLean, Cody, Ostlie, Goldade, °stile, Klaus. <br />Mr. Prokop presented a suggestion from Mr. Schumacher for the updating <br />of the - Planning- and Zoning--me.mbers on various aspects of the planning <br />and zoning precess used in other areas. The general consensus of the <br />Board this is a good suggestion. <br />Mr. McLean moved to recommend that this Board direct the City Administra- <br />tor go about setting up the training sessions for six meetings and that <br />the presentations be arranged by the zoning official to be presented <br />at the end of the meeting. Seconded by Mrs. Klaus. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />MINUTES - September 14, 1983 <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of September 14, 1983 as pre- <br />sented. Seconded by Mr. Doocy. Motion carried unanimously. <br />COUNCIL UPDATE <br />Mr. Kluegel repoted on the actions of the Council in reference to the <br />recommendations of this Board. There was discussion on the Boe Conditiona <br />Use Permit in that the Board felt that did not approve the on -site <br />septic system and felt this should come before this Board. Mr. Kluegel <br />was directed to bring this back to the Planning and Zoning Board. <br />There was a question on the lease easement for the AT &T Tower on the <br />Acton Property - who is responsible? to whom shouldnthe permit be <br />issued? Mr. Kluegel was requested to clear this matter with Mr. Hawkins. <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - NORTHWESTERN BELL <br />This request concerns a request for a lot size variance. The land is <br />located in a General Business area. Northwestern Bell has an option <br />to purchase this property contingent upon approval of this body. <br />This building is to be used to house equipment to provide economical <br />service community. The methods used to use the equipment that would be <br />housed in this building. The building is to be 17'x17'. There will be <br />employees housed in the building, therefore creating no traffic or park- <br />ing problems. This building would be located on James Street just East <br />of Lake Drive, near the bank. There is an existing building on the land <br />and if this parcel is approved for division, this would leave a parcel <br />of approximately .7 acres. <br />The Planning and Zoning was concerned with the creation of two non -con- <br />forming lots out of the existing lot. <br />Mr. Short's letter was reviewed and Mr. Nelson was asked to respond to <br />0 several items in that letter which he did. <br />
