Mr. McLean moved to recommend to the Council that the final plat of Rice Lake Estates be rejected until such time as their concerns regarding the various items included in the Building Official's notes be addressed. Seconded by Mr. Doocy. Motion carried unanimously. OLD BUSINESS There was none at this time. The Planning & Zoning Members were presented with a draft ordinance concerned with signs. Mr. McLean felt this Ordinance should be gone through. He asked Mr. Kluegel what had been changed in this ordinance from the old sign ordinance other than the districts? Was the distance between signs? Mr. Kluegel said, No. Mr. McLean noted that State has never accepted the City's sign ordinance for certification, nor has any other in the state as far as he knows. Is this a legal ordinance? Mr. McLean asked if the size of the signs allowed had been changed? any changes in the rules pertaining to flashing signs? the structure of the signs - steel or wood - and the relationship as to wind load and the manner in which this can be assured. The general consensus of the Board was to table this matter until the November agenda. NEW BUSINESS Mr. McLean questioned some homes going in on Ash Street. Mr. Kluegel reported these are earth berm homes and the land is deceiving, there is high land in the rear. Mrs. Klaus moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Aye. Planning & Zoning Board November 9, 1983 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was called to order at 7:33 P.M., November 9, 1983 by Chairman Prokop with the following members present; Goldade, Klaus, Doocy, Cody, Ostlie. Absent; McLean. MINUTES - OCTOBER 12, 1983 On considering the minutes, Mr. Doocy had some corrections; 1) the meeting convened at 7:30 P.M.; Mr. Ostlie was listed twice and Mr. Doocy was eliminated; 3) under the Northwestern Bell Conditional Use Permit in the second paragraph, the second sentence makes no sense - should be clarified. Mr. Cody made corrections in the last paragraph of that subject.
