Planning and Zoning May 12, 1982 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was called to order at 7:30 P.M., May 12, 1982 by Chairman Johnson with the following members present: McLean, Juleen, Prokop, Goldade, Klaus (Arrived at 9:15 P.M.). Absent; Doocy. MINUTES REPORT OF COUNCIL ACTION TASK FORCE Mr. McLean and Mr. Johnson had prepared a 14 member list for the considera- tion of the Council. However, Mr. McLean noted that Mr. Walt Williams will be unable to participate since he has a conflict of meetings. An orientation meeting is scheduled for June 5, 1982 at 8:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. The remaining meetings are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of July, August and September. All persons were contacted and agreed to serve on this Task Force with the exception noted above. Mr. Johnson explained that the schedule in only a guideline and is subject to change. All meetings with the exception of the June 5th meeting are scheduled for 7:30 P.M. and are to be held at the. Lino Lakes City Hall. Mr. Prokop moved to recommend approval of the Task Force as presented. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. FLOOD PLAIN ORDINANCE. Mr. Stein reported that the Flood Plain Ordinance must be adopted by May 17, 1982. However, the City Council has adopted a Resolution establishing a moratorium effective until August 10, 1982. This will give the City time to finalize the Ordinance and have in place. Mr. Reinert explained that the moratorium was necessary in order for residents to maintain their insurance. There was general discussion on why this Ordinance is necessary. Mr. Stein also explained some of the specifications that must be contained within the Ordinance. He pointed out that the Ordinance must conform to both Federal and State standards. The Ordinance that has been prepared does conform to both Federal and State Regulations. If the City has a more restrictive requirement, then the more restrictive requirement would apply. There was a question as to the relationship of this ordinance to the wet lands ordinance and they were told, that is a separate study and this ordinance does not apply to that study.
