There was <br />also discussion on the need for a variance for the long driveway. The <br />stipulations that would be attached to such a variance were noted. <br />Mr. Prokop moved to recommend approval of the Special Use Permit for Mid - <br />West Cable for the construction of an Earth Station per the application <br />dated April 4, 1982 with the following provision: 1© pending payment of <br />fee for variance for 900' driveway, 0 notification of property owners <br />within 300' of property or a.signed petition from such persons. The <br />permit to include permission to construct a singel ten meter antenna - <br />a m00' micro wave tower and a fiber glass equipment shelter to include <br />fencing. Two additional ten meter microwave towers and a permanent <br />cement block building to be added within next year or two. Seconded by <br />Mrs. Klaus. Motion carried with Mr. McLean, as an employee of Westinghouse. <br />abstaining. <br />[KENNEL LICENSE -T P. BARRY <br />Mr. Barry lives on the corner of 7th Avenue and Birch Street and rents <br />the home from Mr. John Tufts, therefore the application is in the name <br />of Mr. Tufts, as land owner, but the Kennel license is in the name of <br />Mr. Barry as the owner of the dogs. <br />Mr. Barry explained that he has three dogs and his father -in -law sometimes <br />brings his two dogs out and leaves them for some time. The dogs are in <br />separate kennels and all have houses. These are hunting dogs. <br />Mr. McLean moved to recommend approval of the Kennel License application <br />for a total of five dogs to be issued to Mr. Patrick Barry. Seconded <br />by Mr. Prokop. Motion carried unanimously. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Mr. Prokop pointed out the problem of illegal parking on Bald Eagle Blvd. <br />especially during the Spring and Fall. Near the Silk property, cars are <br />parked on both sides of the street and the people use that part of the <br />lake for fishing. He said there are a lot of pre - school children in the <br />cars and it is really a dangerous situation. Mr. Prokop asked if the <br />Council would consider some kind of liminted parking along that boulevard <br />from the standpoint of safety. <br />Mr. Johnson suggested this be directed to Chief Myhre. Mr. Prolop - just <br />whatever channels are appropriate - just so something is accomplished. <br />Mr. Prokop moved to ask either the City Council or the Police Chief to <br />investigate the feasibility of limited parking on Bald Eagle Boulevard. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The meeting was adjourned. <br />
