Planning and Zoning <br />March 18, 1981 <br />Page Three <br />411The motion carried unanimoulsy. <br />EUGENE PEIL - SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />This is for a commercial building in a non - sewered area. Mr. Peil presented <br />plans for the constuction on a building in Carole's Estates II. <br />Mr. Short presented his comments on this proposed construction. The Board <br />had questions as to the type of business that would be operating out of that <br />location. Mr. ? moved to recommend to the Council this Special Use Permit <br />be approved with the stiuplation that Mr. Short's recommendations be followed. <br />Seconded by ? . Motion carried unanimously. <br />LINDY - SPECIAL USE PERMIT - KENNEL LICENSE <br />This application is for a kennel Lim -s-e in a residential area. Mr. Lindy <br />lives on East Shadow Lake Drive, has four dogs in violation of the City <br />Ordinance which states a person may only have two dogs. Mr. Bathke noted <br />that he had a letter from the Police Department with a list of the complaints <br />filed against the animals owned by Mr. Lindy. <br />The Ordinance governing this matter was felt to be inadequate and there was <br />a suggestion that the Council amend this Ordinance. <br />Clerk's Note: The tapes are completely inaudiable and the following was <br />compiled on consulting with the City Administrator. <br />A motion was made and passed to recommend to the Council this Kennel License <br />be granted. <br />HAWKINS - FEASIBILITY PLAT. <br />This land is located on either side of Otter Lake Road at the junction of <br />County Road J. Mr. Hawkins had presented for informational purposes only. <br />The Planning and Zoning Board had no problems with this with the exception <br />of informing Mr. Hawkins that he would have to comply with the Shore Lands <br />Management Act and that all lots should be sized to comform to City Ordinance. <br />JULEEN - SIGN PERMIT <br />A motion was made and passed recommending approval of this sign permit with <br />the stipulation that Mr. Juleen present a sketch of this sign. <br />HELIN - KUETHER- SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />There were several areas of concern with this proposal; 1)lack of bathrooms; <br />2) parking; 3) ingress and egress; 3) hours of operation;4) anticipated <br />number of patrons; and 5)adjacent land use. This will be returned to PIZ. <br />PUDWILL - LIEBERAM - VARIANCE. <br />Motion was made and passed to recommend approval of this variance with the <br />stipulation that the plans and specifications for the home be presented to <br />the building inspector and a permit be issued by March 23, 1981. <br />Meeting adjourned. <br />
