J <br />February 18, 1980 <br />'Mr. DeNuccio asked about the housing implementation plan and the multi - <br />&amily plans. Mr. Short explained this is to be spread out and in certain <br />areas and will comprise about 15% of the total development. <br />Ms. Joann Anderson asked why this type of housing - she moved out to <br />Lino Lakes to get away from this. Mr. Short again explained this is <br />needed because of family's getting smaller, children leaving home, etc. <br />Also, certain types of Industry may require certain types of housing. <br />Mrs. Norma Nadeau asked about the 15% of smaller housing and Mr. Short <br />said this these are in Shenandoah III- there is only 7 and will be con- <br />trolled by building permits. <br />Russ Mattak asked if the sewer would be crossing 4th Avenue at I35W. Mr. <br />Gotwald noted the planned route on the map. <br />Mrs. Arlene Averback questioned the commercial zone where will it sotp? <br />Mr. Short again referred to the map and noted there are recommendations <br />for no new commercial in the area of 77th and Main St. Mrs. Averback <br />ask if there will recommendations on site location to have houses follow <br />the sun and Mr. Short said this could be recommended but not enforced. <br />Ms. Anderson asked if there is a different plan for the Correctional <br />center and Mr. Short said he is unaware of any change and the area across <br />0 the street is being recommended for an Industrial Park. <br />0 ome comments: Mrs. Averback asked about bus lines for shopping - Mrs. <br />nderson doesn't want any commercial or industrial development, she moved <br />out to get away from that. Mr. Jerry Heath said there have been some <br />questions on what the cost for sewer will be - cost difference between <br />4 acre to 1 acre is approximately $5,000.00. Service in District II <br />will be about 1985. <br />Mr. Ben Benson asked what woul dhappen if sewers aren't allowed in Dist. 2 <br />Mr. Gotwald said it could discourage development, etc, because land could <br />be saturated by sewers and explanined the procedure necessary then if we <br />are forced to install sewers. Mr. Benson asked if this plan is approved <br />by MC will the City have to start proceedings with sewers and Mr. Gotwald <br />said, No. <br />Mrs. Averback asked about the people who did not submit the sewer pump- <br />ing forms back to the City - Mr. Gotwald said if you have a porblem, the <br />sewer company must get a permit. <br />Mr. Jerry Heath called the meeting to a close at 9:30 P.M. Will be called <br />to order again on Wednesday, February 27th. He encouraged everyone to <br />go home, the think about what was discussed tonight and return then at <br />7:30 P.M. for more discussion. <br />
