Motion declared passed.
There was not a quorum of the December 19, 1979 and as a result there are
no minutes.
The next order of business was the election of officers for 1980. Mr. Heath
moved tonominate Mr. Reinert, Seconded by Mr. Johnson. Mrs. Schwankl moved
to nominate Mr. Doocy, Seconded by Mr. Bathke. Mr. Reinert called for
further nominations three times and there was none and the nominations were
closed.
The voting was by ballot and the results were announced by Mr. McLean.
Mr. Reinert was elected Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board for 1980.
Mr. Johnson nominated Mr. Jerry Heath, Seconded by Mr. Doocy. There were
no further nominations. Mr. Heath will serve as Vice - Chairman.
•
The plat of Arena Acres was considered. Mrs. Schwankl asked to be excused
from consideration on this plat.
Mr. Ken Rehbein presented the agreement= Oorked out by Mr. Schumacher and
himself. This will give Lot 7 to the City and Mr. Rehbein will construct
2 tennis courts and a tot lot on that parcel of land, The courts will be
constructed according to City specifications. _Mr. Rehbein presented a
signed written agreement to this.
The plat was considered and Mr. Short's letter of December 17,1979 was
read and his suggested changes were discussed. 1) alternate exit provided;
2) Outlot to the East sufficient; 3) revised plat - 14 new lots and a new
street - discussion of the lots with restrictive soils. Mr. Rehbien explained
these new lots were the result of having to relocate the street. He is
aware of the work necessary to make these lots usable. 3) consideration of
re- subdividing in case of sewers coming in - some discussion but not consid-
ered. 4) 3.9 acres as open space - is this park? if not, what? Mr. Rehbein
said this does not matter since the Park problem has been handled per the
Park Board and Mr. Schumacher. 5) ditch in NE corner - easements? This is
a County ditch and the easement is shown. 6) Outlot south of Lot 34 - what
use? did not know -may tie into a lot, use as ponding; should indicate
usage. Mr. Rehbein said he would probably add to the nearest lot. The
intentions should be put in writing. 7) total acreage? 65 acres.
•The street names were discussed - the ones on the plat are incorrect -
they should be in the 80 series if they are to be numbered. Mr. Rehbein
said he had no objections - he will consult with Mr. Schumacher on this.
A statement from Mr. Gotwald on the location of the streets is needed.
