The <br />cold temps of December have allowed us to put down a lot of water. Warming houses officially <br />opened on Tuesday, December 18. <br />Maintenance activities for December included the following: <br />• Daily rink maintenance — (sweeping, snow blowing edges, shoveling, flooding). <br />• Assisted Public Works with snow plowing of streets and parking lots. <br />• Trail plowing. <br />• Attended MTGF (MN Turf and Grounds Found.) Convention and Trade Show. <br />• Repaired or replaced benches at all shelter locations. <br />• Cleaning and maintenance of warming houses. <br />• Painting of interior at Sunrise Shelter. <br />A special thank you goes out to Esther Neu and her girl scout troop. They painted the <br />interior walls, doors, trim and benches then painted skating and winter scene <br />murals on the walls. It really looks great! Check it out. <br />• Ordered trees and shrubs for spring park plantings. <br />• Conducted employee performance reviews. <br />• Worked with irrigation contractor to develop designs for Marshan and Clearwater Creek Park <br />areas. <br />• Repair and maintenance of equipment. <br />Hope you all had a joyous and safe holiday season.
