Landscape Structures, Inc., a reputable playground equipment manufacturer located in Delano,
Minnesota, has created the SkateWave Modular Skate Park System. This steel modular skate
park system is very durable and provides flexibility in the layout and location of the skate park.
SkateWave is ISO 9001 Certified and comes with a 10 -year warranty.
SkateWave provides some pre- configured parks. For example a preconfigured park consisting of
a mini half pipe, wedge, quarter pipe, jump, and straight round rail is available for approximately
$20,000. This would require an area of 50' x 50'. I have attached some schematics of pre -
configured parks.
If the school district is receptive to providing an area at the Centennial Middle School, perhaps
the Park Board should consider recommending to the City Council designating $20,000 of Park
Dedication Funds for the listed equipment. Delivery takes approximately 2 — 4 weeks.
I will be showing a four - minute video at the Park Board Meeting.
sw /parkbrd/Meeting Information/Review Possible Skate Park.doc
•
•
