• Rice Lake Elementary Field #2 Improvements to the players bench area have been completed including concrete pads and aluminum player's benches with backs. • Marshan Park Seeding The south half of Marshan Park is now green and appears to be filling in nicely. Work performed on this project has included the following: • Two chemical applications (Roundup) to kill existing vegetation. • Tilling of entire south half of park. • Installed drain tile in trouble spots. • Final seed bed preparation (dragging and leveling). • Brillion seeded south half, slit seeded north half with Athletic Pro II seed mix (750 lbs. total). • Hand seeded native prairie area between trail and townhomes to the east. • Applied two applications of 13 -13 -13 since germination. • Programmed and adjusted irrigation system as needed. As you can see a lot of work goes into the seeding of a new park area. We anticipate cutting the south half for the first time later this week. We also hope to spray for broadleaf weeds later this fall, time and weather permitting. • • City Hall Skate Park Work for the project has included: • Installation of 60'x80' bituminous pad (contracted). • Assembly of skate park equipment. • Installation of 80'x6' high privacy fence along west edge of pad. • Site preparation and seeding of area around pad. • Planting of 6 Norway Pine and 11 shade trees around skate park area. • Hazard tree removal from Sunrise Park (contracted). • Country Lakes Park Removed old sign and prepped site for new sign and landscaping. • Trails Flail mowing and brush trimming of trail edges. Those are the major highlights from the last two months. •
