When last I wrote we were <br />experiencing an extremely hot, dry July. Today as I drove in to work the temperature on the <br />bank sign read 36° F. Fall has definitely arrived. <br />Maintenance activity during August and September have included: <br />• Mowing of Parks and Athletic Fields <br />With the return of cooler temperatures and wet weather our grass has been growing like <br />crazy. With most of our seasonal staff back to school keeping up with the mowing has <br />been a challenge. <br />• Ballfield Preparation <br />Fall softball will conclude this week. <br />• Fall Soccer Program <br />This program is in full swing. Maintenance activities for the soccer program have <br />consisted of: <br />• Layout and painting of nine fields. <br />• Delivering and anchoring goals to each field location. <br />• Weekly line mow -ins and line repainting when needed. <br />• Fall Football Program <br />Maintenance for September has included layout and painting of two fields, weekly line <br />mow -ins, and repainting as needed. <br />• Lino Park Warming House <br />The interior and exterior of the building have been painted. The exterior trim will be <br />completed this fall. <br />
