Lino Lakes Parks ancf Recreation <br />Department <br />Program.7!igh!ights - <br />Novemder Park Board Update <br />Santa and his elf, Kim <br />YOUTH <br />Youth Instructional: Many of our youth instructional programs including Toss, Kick and Catch, Floor Hockey <br />Mini Camp and Soccer Mini Camp ended this month. Our Dance program will be ending in early December. <br />This session of programs has gone well. We are currently looking for instructors to teach our winter and spring <br />sessions, as many of our current instructors have other commitments. <br />Youth Tackle Football: The season concluded on November 6 with a playoff between the top Blaine teams and <br />the top Lino Lakes teams. We conducted a wrap -up coaches meeting on November 14 and it seemed as is the <br />coaches were pleased with the direction of this program. <br />ADULT <br />5- Player Basketball: This season we have 11 teams registered for this league. This number is consistent with <br />previous seasons. <br />SPECIAL E "E S <br />Family Turkey Shoot: 125 adult /child teams participated in the Family Turkey Shoot this year which was held <br />on November 17. This was our highest turnout ever! We also collected over 5 bags of groceries for the <br />Centennial Area Food Shelf. The added attractions this year, coloring and removable tattoos, were a big hit <br />with the participants. Special thanks to our sponsors, Lino Lakes State Bank and Lino Lakes Lions, and our <br />70 volunteers! <br />Breakfast with Santa: As of November 14, Breakfast with Santa was full with 205 participants - this is one week <br />early than last year Breakfast with Santa will be held on December 15 at St. Joseph's Church banquet hall. <br />Activities planned for the day include breakfast, crafts, photos and gingerbread cookie decorating. <br />2001 Family Turkey Shoot <br />What an arm! Great throw, Derek! <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Outdoor Shelters: We are currently accepting applications <br />for 12 shelter attendant position openings. This year, there <br />has been an influx of people seeking employment for these <br />positions. <br />Activities Guide: The activities guide is complete and will be <br />mailed out to homes the last week of November. <br />Questions?
