Park Board Meeting - December 3, 2001 <br />Minutes <br />• Monday, January 7, 2002 at 6:OOpm in the Police Training Room at <br />City Hall. <br />• <br />• <br />Playground Equipment <br />Residents and Park Board Members are encouraged to review and <br />provide input on playground bid proposals in Meeting Room #2 at <br />City Hall during the following dates and times: <br />* Thursday, January 3 <br />* Friday, January 4 <br />* Monday, January 7 <br />* Tuesday, January 8 <br />8:OOam - 8:OOpm <br />8:OOam - 4:30pm <br />8:OOam - 8:OOpm <br />8:OOam - 8:OOpm <br />Landscaping <br />The city is in the process of developing detailed landscaping <br />plan for Clearwater Creek Park. It is pla- -d to have the <br />majority of the landscaping installed thi- sp• ng. Since funding <br />for development of the entire park is 1''' , the City is <br />attempting to create a good landscapi •.l_ within a reasonable <br />budget. <br />Michael noted the flyers regardin <br />gazebo /shelter and playground eq <br />RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick referred to the Progra Tights Flyer from November 2001. <br />He stated that 125 adult /ch ams participated in the Family <br />Turkey Shoot this year, w held on November 17. This was <br />the highest turnout ever As of November 14, Breakfast with <br />Santa was full with pants. This is one week earlier <br />than last year Brea i h Santa will be held on December 15 <br />at St. Joseph's Church •anquet hall. <br />e selection of the <br />t have gone out. <br />Rick added the City is currently accepting applications for 12 <br />shelter attendant position openings. <br />Pam asked if the Youth Tackle Football Program would be offered <br />again next fall. Rick stated the Youth Tackle Football Program <br />would be offered again next fall. There are some issues that <br />need to be addressed but the Program was successful. <br />PARKS DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick reviewed a memo from Mike Hoffman, Parks Supervisor, which <br />summarizes the maintenance highlights for November 2001. Rick <br />noted athletic field projects have included top dressing, core <br />aerifying and overseeding soccer and football fields worn areas, <br />infield renovation at Birch Park and working track renovation at <br />Sunrise Park Fields #1 and #2. <br />2 <br />
