• <br />• <br />• <br />Park Board Meeting - December 3, 2001 <br />Minutes <br />Rick added other maintenance highlights included equipment <br />changeover (from mower to blower), removing the damaged equipment <br />from Brandywood playground, and the installation of rink berms at <br />Lino, Marshan and Birch Parks. <br />Rick noted a $1,500 dollar reward is being offered for the arrest <br />and conviction for the vandalism at Brandywood Park. The reward <br />will be advertised in the Quad. <br />Paul stated the skate park in Centerville had some vandalism and <br />stolen items. He asked if the City's equipment is secure. Rick <br />stated the City of Centerville had two different vendors provide <br />ramps. One of the ramps was fairly light. The City of Lino <br />Lakes does have a smaller ramp that cowl onceivably be stolen <br />but it would be very difficult to hide. D •e has occurred to <br />the fencing at the skate park and that is 11 have to be <br />addressed next year. <br />Chair Lindy asked if the skate park i u "-+ enough to warrant an <br />attendant. Rick stated that at thi nt an attendant could not <br />be justified. It is possible tha ' could <br />0 <br />be justified at some <br />point in the future. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Park Dedication review for Targ ,Kohls Project- Rick advised the <br />park dedication revenue fry t e Market Place Development was <br />$ 7 0 , 7 9 0 . This does not . e McDonalds Development. <br />Paul asked if the pa dedi on was based on square footage for <br />each of the buildings` dvised the park fee dedication was <br />based on a per acre ba'is and it has already been received. <br />Referendum Update - At the November 21, 2001, Work Session the <br />City Council directed staff to pursue a spring, 2002 referendum <br />for development of the athletic complex, neighborhood park <br />improvements, and trails. <br />The first "Referendum 2002" committee meeting will immediately <br />follow the December 3 Park Board meeting. This meeting will be <br />held in the Community Room at City Hall. If you know of anyone <br />who may be interested in serving on this committee, please <br />contact Rick DeGardner as soon as possible at 651- 982 -2444.
