• Youth Instructional: Our spring session programs are coming to a close. Soccer Mini Camp and Floor Hockey Mini Camp concluded the week of May 20th. Dance and Toss, Kick and Catch will conclude the first week in June. Options: Fifty -nine participants are currently enrolled in this program which begins June 10. All staff for this program have been hired and training will take place on June 8. The Options staff consists of four YMCA employees and three Parks and Recreation employees. Summer Playground Program: Registration is taking place for this program. One hundred twenty -three participants are currently enrolled. This is consistent with, if not greater, than last year's registration total at this time. This summer we will be conducting both a morning and afternoon session of this program. Two sites will host the morning session and five sites will host the afternoon session. •Tackle Football and Fall Soccer: Registrations for these two league programs will begin on June 3 and conclude on July 18. Golf Lessons: Registration for golf has been slow due to the unseasonably cold temperatures and rain. We've also had to cancel and reschedule several lessons because of the rain. Softball: Forty teams are registered for the upcoming summer season. This is consistent with last year. We received 63 applications this summer for summer playground leader and Options leader positions - an overwhelming number compared to previous years. Thirty -one applicants were offered positions. Summer playground leader staff training will take place June 10, 11 and 12 at City Hall. The Summer Activities Guide is at the printer and is scheduled to be delivered to homes the last week of May.
