Patriotic Tattoos at the Playground <br />Patriotic Party - July 3, 2002 <br />Lino Lakes Parks <br />and Recreation ; -��,` 'I <br />bepartmerit n <br />.o <br />Qo� o, <br />Program Highlights - <br />July Park Board Update <br />YOUTH <br />Summer Playground Program: Playgrounds are coming to a close and will officially end on August 1. We had <br />229 full -time registrations and over 210 daily registrations this summer. Our full -time registration numbers were <br />down slightly from last summer, but our daily registration total was almost twice as many as last year. Our <br />Patriotic Party on July 3 went smoothly - 129 children participated in this event. Our finale, scheduled for <br />August 1, will include games, a treat and a performance by Brian Richards, Magician. <br />CLUB: Our field trips have been going well. We have been averaging a combined total of about 40 participants <br />per trip. We have one trip left this summer: Old Log Theatre, Lake Minnetonka and Streetcar Ride. <br />Options: Options is still going well. We have received some negative comments about the construction at new <br />location, however, the new location has allowed us to have cooking programs, on -site swimming and more <br />classroom space - all of which were unavailable at our previous site. <br />Youth Instructional: Many of our youth instructional programs are now over or will be coming to a close in the <br />early part of August. Over 120 youth participated in our Soccer "Fun "damentals program and over 300 youth <br />participated in our T -Ball program. <br />Safety Camp: Registration is now complete for this annual program scheduled for August 8. Ninety -nine youth <br />are currently registered. <br />Fall Soccer and Tackle Football: Registration has concluded for these two programs. Approximately 500 youth <br />are registered for Soccer and approximately 300 youth are registered for football. <br />ADULT <br />Softball: The summer season is completed with the exception of <br />playoff games. Registration for fall softball is over. Twenty -two <br />teams are currently registered. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Brochure: Work on our Fall Activities Guide is underway. <br />Delivery to home is scheduled for the last week in August. <br />If you have any comments or questions about the brochure, <br />lease call Liz Bursack at 651- 982 -2443. <br />Questions?
