Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department <br />600 Town Center Parkway <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br />(651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439 <br />October 1, 2002 <br />TO: Park Board Members <br />FROM: Mike Hoffman, Parks Supervisor <br />SUBJECT: August and September Maintenance Updates <br />Well another busy summer has come and gone and with fall now upon us, hopefully the dam <br />grass will stop growing! <br />Maintenance activity during August and September has included: <br />• Soccer field maintenance — weekly or twice weekly. Line mow -ins, and line painting as <br />needed to 10 soccer fields (6 at Rice Lake Elementary (RLE) and 4 at Centennial Middle <br />School (CMS). <br />• Football field maintenance — weekly or twice weekly. Line mow -ins, and line painting as <br />needed to 3 football fields (CMS). <br />• Softball field maintenance and game preparation — (Thankfully the softball season has <br />officially come to a close!). <br />• Weekly mowing of all park areas. (Athletic fields usually cut twice per week). <br />• Weekly garbage collection. <br />• Party wagon delivery and pickup. (Party wagon season has officially ended!). <br />• Trail inspections. <br />• Irrigation system maintenance and blowouts. <br />• Poured two park bench pads at Wenzel Farms Park. <br />• Poured three concrete pads at CMS. <br />• Replaced vandalized playground equipment at Brandywood Park. Also installed drain tile <br />from playground to wetland area. <br />
