Park Board Meeting - February 3, 2003 <br />Minutes <br />The February 3, 2003 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br />called to order at 6:30pm, by Chair Lindy. <br />Roll call was taken, members present were Pam Taschuk, Katie <br />Boyle, Michael O'Connor, Bill Kusterman and George Lindy. <br />Members absent were Pat Huelman and Paul Montain. <br />Also present was Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director. <br />APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 2, 2002 MINUTES: <br />Pam Taschuk made a motion, seconded by Michael O'Connor, to <br />approve the December 2, 2002 minutes. The minutes were approved. <br />Chair Lindy asked if the Park Board will be following up on the <br />concrete sidewalk or if that will be a staff issue. Rick advised <br />the whole project has been delayed. Staff will determine <br />specifics on the concrete sidewalk when the details regarding the <br />project are discussed. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA: <br />The Agenda was passed as presented. <br />OPEN MIKE: <br />No one was present for open mike. <br />• REVIEW 2002 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS: <br />Rick reviewed the list of 2002 Public Services Department <br />Accomplishments that was distributed in the packets noting the <br />entire Public Services Staff had a very productive 2002 and most <br />of the work was done in- house. <br />• <br />Rick continued stating the four major projects for the department <br />include Highland Meadows Park, Clearwater Creek Park, Timberwolf <br />Trail and Birch Park Trail. <br />Chair Lindy noted a resident came to his home just to comment on <br />how nice the Birch Park Trail looks. <br />Pam asked if the Parks Department will be offering the Day Camp <br />program again this summer. Rick advised the Day Camp program <br />will be offered again this summer. <br />Bill inquired about the holiday lighting contest. Rick advised <br />the contest has been in the City of Lino Lakes for several years. <br />The electric company pays for the prizes so there is no cost to <br />the City. <br />DISCUSS AND APPROVE 2003 PARK BOARD GOALS: <br />Rick advised the January 6, 2003 Goals Meeting provided extensive <br />dialog pertaining to possible 2003 Goals.
