Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation
Department Program Highlights -
April Park Board Update
Youth
Youth Instructional: Our spring season youth instructional programs are now underway. Many programs
filled including Dance, Soccer Mini Camp and Toss, Kick and Catch. Others, including Floor Hockey Mini
Camp, came very close to filling. Spring session programs will conclude in May.
CLUB Program: We had one activity planned for this month - Kids' Night Out. Unfortunately, we did not
receive enough registrations and had to cancel the activity. We will be offering another Kids' Night Out
next month.
Options: Currently, 55 participants are registered for this summer's Options program and we are able to
take 60 participants. We would like to fill the remaining five spots, but inquiries have slowed down the
past few weeks. We are researching new marketing strategies to help fill the remaining spots.
T -Ball: Several sessions are filled. We hope to add additional programs if space becomes available.
.Summer Programs: We accepting registrations for summer programs and receive many each day.
Adult
Indoor Soccer: Eight teams are registered for this program. More teams could have been accepted, but
the second night for this program was eliminated to accommodate more youth programs at the arena.
Softball: 42 teams are registered for the summer season. This is an increase of eight teams from last
year. Several teams were even turned away due to the elimination of a ball field at Rice Lake in order to
make it available for youth programs.
Miscellaneous
Our next brochure will be mailed out the last week in May.
Please look at the revised document - now called Recreation
Review. We believe the improvements will make the
publication even more noticeable and even more
user friendly.
Questions?
