• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 19, 2000 <br />Mr. Lindblad stated the Task Force was made up of approximately 20 people from the <br />various cities within the school district. He stated the referendum has a good chance of <br />passing. <br />Mayor Bergeson inquired about the length of view the committee had regarding the <br />projects and time projections. <br />Mr. Lindblad advised the population projections went through 2007 -2008. <br />Council Member Carlson inquired how the votes regarding the three recommendations <br />will be placed on the ballot. <br />Mr. Lindblad advised the School District will determine how the three recommendations <br />are placed on the ballot. <br />Mr. Lindblad distributed a copy of the motions made and a cost su e the <br />recommendations. He noted Mr. McCullen is resigning and th ri the high <br />school is going to the Stillwater school district. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE, BRIAN wks <br />......... ..... <br />Mayor Bergeson advised a resident on the eas ttated him. The resident <br />complained about his property being b ' 1 d 2020 line. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated he adv . ent at the City has a list of property owner <br />requests for changes. He e re dent write a letter to the City asking to be <br />added to that list. He n cil has not yet acted on that list. A discussion <br />should be held reg muing to accept requests. <br />Mayor Bergeson ad: Comprehensive Plan meeting was held yesterday morning. <br />The meeting was pr ctive. Items discussed included the Town Center and housing <br />issues. The Council also reviewed the first 20 pages of the inventory. Another meeting <br />will be scheduled. <br />Council Member O'Donnell stated he spoke with a former Council Member recently. He <br />stated he owes the Council Members an apology. He had made a comment about not <br />changing the numbers in the Plan. He stated he believes the foundation of the Plan came <br />from the 20/20 Vision and the Comprehensive Plan Task Force. He advised that he in no <br />way feels that the Metropolitan Council should determine the vision for the City. He <br />requested that in the future Council Members ask for clarification if a statement is <br />confusing. <br />
