• City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting March 6, 2000 Pat stated that in this case it makes sense to take cash over land. The trail linkage through the development is a separate issue from the park dedication. Jeff suggested the City ask the developer to make a larger than normal cul -de -sac for parking. Rick advised Outlot D in the Highland Meadows Subdivision is .53 acres. That parcel cannot be accessed until the property to the north is developed. Paul Montain made a motion for staff to pursue looking into the purchase of Outlot D in Highland Meadows Subdivision. Staff shall work with the developer of Bluebill Ponds to enhance and create trails to offer residents access to Highland Meadows Park, with the understanding that if the road alignment changes, the Park Board will have to review the plan again. The cash dedication will be used in the development of Highland Meadows Park. The suggested trails are as follows: • Street A along south end of Block 3, Lot 7, between the • proposed pond areas to between Lots 13 -14, to Street B. Street B cul -de -sac to Street D cul -de -sac, between Lots 31- 32. As the development continues to the east, staff will make an ongoing effort to expand Highland Meadows Park and improve access to the park. Motion was seconded by Jeff Reinert and approved unanimously. Chair Lindy added that a note needs to be made about the bubbled out road so the City can obtain a continuous parcel. REVIEW SCOREBOARDS PROJECT AT SUNRISE PARK: Rick advised the Parks Department will be installing electronic scoreboards at Sunrise Park Field No. 1 and Field No. 2. The scoreboards will be located in left center field. Rick referred to a packet detailing the information regarding the scoreboards (Model BA -518). The scoreboard panel will be dark forest green with a border stripe. The total cost of the scoreboards, cable, control console with carrying case, beams, freight, and sales tax is $5,464.35. 4
