•
•
•
City of Lino Lakes
Park Board Meeting
March 6, 2000
Rick advised he does not have site grading information on the
strip of land between the two ponds. He will discuss that issue
with the City Engineer.
Pat stated a trail in that location will help direct traffic.
Also, a trail between the ponds would allow direct access for
half the homes in the development. He referred to the map and
pointed out the location of a possible trail.
Paul added that when the six lots split there is the possibility
of twelve additional houses. The potential amount of use for
Outlot C is another concern.
Chair Lindy asked about the homes across in the Mardon Acres
Development. Rick advised there are homes all the way across
that edge. The homes were built in 1982.
Pam noted there is potential for a trail off of Bluebill Lane if
the access is placed off of Woodduck Trail.
Jeff expressed concern regarding trails in the backyards of too
many homes.
Paul expressed concern regarding the number of homes that will be
using Outlot C for recreational purposes.
Chair Lindy stated that conceptually the Park Board is saying the
area needs trail connections. However, the streets may be
realigned. He asked about the location where Street E ends.
Rick advised that realistically there is only a southerly access
until the two parcels to the north are developed. There is 30'
allowed for limited access to the park.
Jeff expressed concern regarding having an isolated park like
Birchwood Acres.
Chris asked what the cash dedication will be used for. Rick
advised the Park Board should dedicate the cash for this
development for the future Highland Meadows Park. The cash
dedication will not allow for completion of the park, but will be
a good start to begin development of the park.
Chris asked where residents will park. Rick advised that a
temporary cul -de -sac can be developed for parking until the lots
to the north are developed.
3
