• • • Lino Lakes Public Services Department 600 Town Center Parkway Lino Lakes, MN 55014 (651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439 PARKS AND TRAILS DEVELOPMENT UPDATE May 30, 2000 Behm's Park • Final grade complete ♦ Irrigation system almost finished • Trail loop sub -base installed, should be paved within next few weeks ♦ Native grasses and wildflower seed mix scheduled to be seeded by June 30 (southern portion of park) • 250 — 300 lbs of grass seed will be spread after irrigation system completed and trail loop is paved. (Landscape Pro Mix — bluegrass /rye grass mix) ♦ An eagle scout will be installing the park sign with landscaping Brandywood Park ♦ Playground area has been excavated, graded ♦ Installation scheduled with park maintenance personnel and neighborhood volunteers Saturday, June 3 beginning at 9:00 am ♦ A lot of deadfall removed from natural areas Sunrise Park • A dozen bare root trees planted near parking lot ♦ 5 row bleachers and pads installed Fields #1 - #4 ♦ Electrical work done for scoreboards at Fields #1 and #2 Trails • Marshan Park Trail - Landscaping project completed. Included 15 autumn blaze maple trees and 68 bushes and shrubs. Fabric and wood chips were also placed • Rice Lake Estates Park - Native grasses and wildflower seed mix will be spread along the southern portion of the trail leading to Baldwin Park ♦ Lilac Street, east of Appaloosa - Already graded and sub -base, should be paved by end of June ♦ Wenzel Farms trail loop - Work has not begun yet, needs grading, sub -base, and paving. Boardwalk will need to be installed after the paving has been completed Miscellaneous • Closing date for lots on Sandhill Drive scheduled for June 23 • Bare root trees planted at Rice Lake Estates, Sunrise, Behm's, Shenandoah, Pheasant Hills, Birch, Wenzel Farms, and Arena Acres • Bleachers and pads installed at City Hall Park, Centennial Middle School, Rice Lake Elementary 5/30/00 RD /Park Board /June 2000 park projects
