COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 13, 2000 Council Member Dahl moved to adopt Resolution No. 00 — 25, as presented. Council Member O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 00 — 25 can be found at the end of these minutes. Consideration of Resolution No. 00 — 26, Accept Donations for Scoreboards at Sunrise Park (3/4 Vote Required), Rick DeGardner — Staff advised the Park Department will be installing electronic scoreboards at Sunrise Park Field #1 and Field #2. Staff received proposals from two (2) companies and recommended that Aim Electronics be awarded this project. Staff referred to specifications for the proposed scoreboards (Model BA -518). The scoreboard panel will be forest green with a white border stripe. The approximate total costs of the scoreboards, cable, control console with carrying case, beams freight, and sales tax is $5,464.35. Two (2) local businesses, Fast Break Corner Market and Lino Lakes State Bank, have agreed to contribute money to help defray the costs of this project. Each company will contribute $1,200. A 4' x 4' advertising panel will be located adjacent to the scoreboard for a " • three (3) years. Juleen Signs will be producing the advertising panels. Staff referred to a map indicating the parcel. This is a remnant parcel between Nol -Tec and the Fogerty development to the north. The company is interested in holding this site for future expansion. The City and Nol -Tec agreed to a purchase price of $41,900, plus assessments. Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve the FIRST READING of Ordinance No. 04 — 00, as presented.
