Program High /iyhts
• March Park Board Update
•
YOUTH
OPTIONS: 'Registration has begun. 16 children are currently enrolled m
this eight week joint venture summer program with the YMCA.
CLUT3: Our March 16 and 17 trips were cancelled due to low enrollment. This minor setback has
not discouraged us from continuing the program. Seven field trips are planned for this summer
and Spring Lake Park has joined in on our cooperative planning.
ADULT
SOFTI3ALL: 12egistraton has begun. Our current numbers are average for this time of year.
ADULT SOCCER LEAGUE: Practice and games have begun. Nineteen teams are registered this
season.
CARDIO KICK BOXING: This new program is scheduled to begin March 29. We have had several
inquiries about this program.
SPECIAL EVENTS
KITE DAY: We have received contributions from the Lino Lakes Lions Club and Mountain
Enterprises. Thanks to these contributors, we are able to continue offering free kites. At last
year's event, we passed out over 250 kites in 90 minutes.
MISC.
WARMINGHOUSES: The warminghouse season report is enclosed in your Park Board Update.
SPRING ACTIVITIES GUIDE: The spring activities guide has been mailed. We are currently accepting
registrations for all programs. Please notice the new and increased number of program offerings
in the spring activities guide - which resulted in a four page increase
in the activities guide. The activities guide is now 20 pages.
SUMMER STAFFING: Applications are now being accepted for summer
positions. Almost a dozen applications have already been received
and we have received quite a few inquiry calls.
Questions ?? Please feel free to call Liz Bursack or Barry Bernstein
at 651 - 982 -M0.
