City of Lino Lakes <br />Park Board Meeting <br />March 6, 2000 <br />Rick added the concern regarding the boardwalk stability. The <br />size of the footings will be increased. If the boardwalk is not <br />stable, it will have to be removed and the floating boardwalk <br />option will be reviewed. <br />Development Agreement for Clearwater Creek 3rd Addition - Rick <br />referred to the Development Agreement for Clearwater Creek 3rd <br />Addition. The information was requested at the last Park Board <br />meeting and is informational. A process is being developed to <br />update the Park Board as developments go forward. <br />Rick added the development is planned in three phases. The first <br />phase includes the main park. <br />Brandvwood Playground Equipment - Rick adv d the City Council <br />passed a motion authorizing staff to adve• for bids for <br />playground equipment at the February 4, ouncil meeting. <br />Vendors were given a maximum dollar <br />expected to design separate play eq <br />service pre - schoolers and element <br />proposals are expected to meet r <br />Americans with Disabilities Ac <br />must meet guidelines as publis <br />Safety Commission. <br />a'•u of $27,000. The project will be awarded to the <br />vendor that provides the City with the best value for the funds <br />available. The best value analysis will include an evaluation of <br />quality, durability, safety, equipment longevity, aesthetic <br />appeal, and the play experience provided. After review a <br />recommendation will then be made to the City Council for the <br />purchase of playground equipment (March 13, 2000). <br />The playground equipment will be installed using a certified <br />. playground installer (provided by vendor), City staff, and <br />neighborhood volunteers.
