The shelters were opened on December 29, 1999, and
closed for the season on February 22, 2000.
Rick noted the spring activities guide has been printed and is in
the mail.
Pam asked about the location of the Family Open Gym. The
boardwalk segment will be 8' in width and approximately 35' in
length. Much of this material was removed from the Quail Ridge
area last year.
Park maintenance staff will closely monitor this segment of
boardwalk to ensure it remains safe and stable. Since a majority
of the material is on hand, the Parks Department should have
adequate funds to pave the Wenzel Farms trail loop this summer.
The paving will be part of the annual trail paving project.
6
