• <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />Park Board Meeting <br />January 4,2000 <br />REVIEW 1999 ACCOMPLISHMENTS: <br />Rick reviewed a list of Public Services Department 1999 <br />Accomplishments. See packet on file for information. <br />Paul asked if there were any disappointments in 1999. Rick <br />advised the biggest problem is trail renovation and restoration. <br />Trails will be a big priority in 2000 if funding is available. <br />The only trail that needs to be paved in Behm's Century Farm. <br />Rick added that staff also installed a wood fence and landscaping <br />around the lift station at Sunrise Park. <br />Pat noted Wenzel Farms is not on the list. Rick stated he is <br />also very frustrated about the progress of the trail connection <br />from Trappers Crossing to Birch Park. <br />RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick referred to the Program Highlights from December, <br />1999. He noted the special events that n.luded Secret Holiday <br />Shop, Letters from Santa, and Snow Da <br />Rick also advised the Parks and R <br />purchasing two scoreboards for t <br />Park. Rick <br />advised the ski trips re open to those who don't live in Lino <br />Lakes. <br />PARKS DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick reviewed a memo from Mike Hoffman, Park Supervisor, which <br />summarizes the maintenance highlights for December, 1999. <br />Rick noted the Park Maintenance Department has a problem with the <br />tanker truck. It is currently in the shop getting the tank <br />patched. This has limited the Parks Department to hose flooding <br />at the rinks that have a water source. He noted the purchase of <br />a new tanker truck is in the 2001 budget. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />• Distribute 2000 Meeting Dates - Rick reviewed the meeting dates <br />for 2000. Rick noted the September 5, 2000, meeting will <br />hopefully involve a park tour and BBQ. <br />3 <br />
