This
development has been around for over six years and has been almost completely
ignored by the City and Parks and Recreation Department. There has been no progress
made by the city to connect our neighborhood to the trails or parks. We cannot even
take our smaller children on bike rides without risking their lives on Birch Street.
Over one year ago you held some meetings for the people in our neighborhood to
discuss the park that is supposedly planned. At that time you stated that this park was
the next to be developed. Now I read that you have developed the Behm's Century
Farm Park. I work close to Behm's Century Farm and do not believe that that
neighborhood has been around long enough to have old equipment, so I assume you
put new equipment into a new park. Did the Parks department once again put off the
Quail Ridge area?
I hope you can tell me if and when there may be plans to include our neighborhood in
the parks and trails system. It is frustrating to not have easy access to the amenities that
are available to most other residents.
Sincerely,
aJ
Mark Groff
6613 Ruffed Grouse Rd
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
CC: Parks and Recreation Board
Planning and Zoning Board
Mayor Kim Sullivan
Members of the City Council
