• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 23, 1997 <br />DISCUSSION OF QUAD PRESS CIRCULATION, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Ms. Rosemary Storberg had come before the Council to comment about her attempts to <br />get the Quad Press delivered to her home. Staff asked for direction in handling this <br />matter. <br />The Council will consider designating a contact person to deal with the Quad Press <br />circulation questions and complaints at the July 28th Council meeting. <br />OFFICE RENTAL SPACE, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />The lack of office space at city hall was outlined. Staff has found office space in the <br />Acton Construction building on Phelps Road. This space can be leased on a month to <br />month basis for $160 per month. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to let staff lease office space on Phelps Road. <br />No further action is needed on this matter. <br />RESCHEDULE AUGUST 4, 1997 MEETING WITH DON SALVERDA, RANDY <br />SCHUMACHER <br />This meeting was rescheduled for ei <br />Salverda's option. <br />2,1997 or August 11, 1997 at Mr. <br />CONSIDERATION OF CITYCOUNCIL TRAINING, JOHN LANDERS <br />Mayor Landers requested' that all Council Members attend at least one training session <br />each year. After. discussion on the matter, it was decided to put this item on the next work <br />session. <br />OTHER CONCERNS <br />Mayor Landers noted that the State Prison is installing new fencing in an area which is <br />opposed by the nearby residents. The residents feel the new fence would allow prisoners <br />access to the area immediately adjacent to their homes <br />Mayor Landers suggested that the Notification Ordinance include a requirement that a list <br />of all property owners receiving a notification be attached to the notification. <br />Staff explained that Mr. Mike Norling who lives on Coyote Trail has installed a paved <br />driveway that is more than 26 feet wide. This is in violation of the City Code. Mr. <br />Norling wants to know the purpose of this restriction and may appear under Open Mike <br />on Monday evening to ask this question. <br />Page 5 <br />
