CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 4, 1999 <br />balance of the excess 1998 revenues will be used for repairs of the current city hall <br />building. <br />It was noted that funding for the Mallard Lane Trail connection is contingent upon a grant <br />from the DNR. Two (2) options suggested were charging the County for services and the Lino <br />Lakes Police Department providing coverage for other cities in the Quad area. <br />Chief Pecchia indicated that the Police Department has applied for $140,000 grant for the <br />officers in the D.A.R.E. program. All Federal Grant Officers are fully funded for three <br />(3) years. Chief Pecchia also anticipates that the population increase in the next three (3) <br />years will insure a tax capacity rate to fund the additional officers. <br />4 <br />
